India has sent medical aids to Italy which has now become the new global epicentre of the pandemic. The medical consignment includes masks and medical equipment.
Italy Foreign ministry thanked India for help and said, “a gift from the people and the Indian government. We are grateful to you for your friendship and generosity in this moment of need.”

Last month, India had also sent 15 tonnes of medical assistance to China which comprised of masks, gloves and medical equipment. The supplies were delivered by an Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft.

India has also provided medical support to Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal. 3 tonnes of medical aids and a medical team of doctors were sent by India to Maldives.
